■立体トラスによる合理的な構造
ラーメン構造が直方体を基本形として展開していくのに対して、立体トラスは三角錐をその基本形にもつ。建築空間という内部空間の有効性を問われる形態に対してはラーメン構造が圧倒的に有利ではあるが、構造的にみると、三角形を基本とするトラス構造は、それだけで自立して安定する構造のため、圧倒的に有利な形態である。
この計画では、住宅に立体トラスを持ち込み断面方向に劇的な変化を導入した。半地下となるエントランス部分に半層下がって、外部からアプローチして、1階部分は三角屋根の部分から採光を得る。その三角屋根部分は南に大きく開いた開口部から光を導入する、断面的なコート空間となっている。その部分は階段でもあり、1Ｆと2Ｆがプライベートな空間に対して階段部分は半屋外的なスペースとなっている。外壁は鉄板構造として、三角形の面で耐力を確保するように計画されている。そのため、構造断面はとても小さなものとなる。

A solid truss has a triangular gimlet in the basic type while the Rahmen construction develops the hexahedron as a basic type. In this plan, a solid truss was introduced in the house and the dramatic change was introduced into the direction of the section of bringing in. A half layer falls in the entrance part that becomes half underground, it approaches from the outside, and the first floor part obtains the lighting from the part of a triangular roof. The triangular roof part is a court space the section where light is introduced from the opening that greatly opens to the south. The part is the stairs, and the stairs part is half outdoor space against the space where 1F and 2F are private, too. To secure the bearing force as an iron plate structure in triangular respect, the outside wall is planned. Therefore, a structural section becomes very small.

■上部から光を導入するプラン
断面的に階段部分を3角形に切り取ることで、その部分から光を取り入れることができる。三角部分はテント膜で構成されるが、あくまで環境的には内部空間のため、メンテナンス、耐久性に対してあまり配慮の必要がなくなる。内部の空間も半地下とすることで、傾いた屋根+地下空間があるため、居住性やプライバシーが確保することができる。2階部分床をグレーチングとすることで、下部からの光が得られ、開放的な空間とすることができる。
